The DM App is prescribed by us for patients who are in, or about to begin dental treatment. As a patient, you can download the DM App from the App Store or Google Play Store for free. When your monitoring starts, your doctor will send you an activation email with everything you need to log in.

We will provide you one of two ScanBox pro boxes, each of which includes 2 different size Cheek Retractor Tubes for more comfortable fits:

There are many ways to take a DM scan, depending on your treatment. Don’t worry, it’s easier than you may think. Video tutorials and reminders will be available once you log into the DM app.

We will send updates and instructions based on your DM scans. For example, if your oral hygiene is declining due to aligner wear, we will let you know areas that you may need to focus when brushing. Or, if your aligner is not fitting properly, we may let you know that you need to continue wearing the current aligner longer or use your chewies.

Practically all recent smartphones are compatible, with a minimum of Android 5 (with flash) or iOS 10.

If you are having difficulty securing your phone, make sure you remove your phone case while taking a scan.

ScanBox pro phone supports are one size, and are designed to accommodate three sizes of Cheek Retractor Tubes, which come in three different sizes to accommodate different mouth sizes: Small, Medium, and Large.

To sufficiently capture the teeth and the gum area while taking scans, choose the biggest size possible that won’t cause discomfort.

The ScanBox pro is recyclable, as is the current ScanBox. All plastic components are in standard materials and are recyclable separately. And since the ScanBox pro requires less plastic to manufacture, that means less plastic to recycle at its end of use.

The Cheek Retractor Tube is made of BPA-free medical-grade plastic USP Class VI. It complies with FDA requirements in the code of Federal Regulations in 21 CFR 177.1520 for food contact. This product passed the US Pharmacopoeia test (USP class Ⅵ ) and can be used for medical purposes. It is registered in the FDA Drug Master File list.

No. The ScanBox pro should not be put in the dishwasher.

Before and after each remote monitoring session, clean the Cheek Retractor Tube with soap and cold water. If necessary, gently brush the surface with a soft-bristle brush (like a toothbrush) to ensure it is completely clean. Rinse with cold water and air dry.

Do not use disinfectant wipes or disinfectant sprays on either the phone support or Cheek Retractor Tubes.

Not at all. We’ve designed our dental monitoring app to be easy to use. All you have to do is take photos of the patient's teeth and gums and upload them into the app.

The software will then create a 3D model of the patient's teeth, so that you can assess the progress of treatment remotely. This process takes just a few minutes and means that no further in-person visits are required.

With Dental Monitoring, you will only need to scan your teeth once every 7-14 days. Depending on the treatment plan that has been devised for your case, each scan should take no more than 10 minutes to complete in order to accurately detect the position of your teeth and the overall movement of your dental arch throughout treatment.

After you have made a scan, our AI-based dental monitoring software will give you an analysis, allowing your dentist to assess the progress and make adjustments accordingly.
